The Pursuit of Happiness.

Is a person's pursuit in life actually achieved ?

Ever since the incorporation of the world, evolution of man, the accent of money, we humans have been pursuing one goal after another. But non so important and pressing than "The Pursuit of Happiness."

Humans have tried to make sense of Life and the meaning of life, desperately trying to maintain order in chaos. Sometimes in the name of God(s), kingdom, county, emperor, czar, caesar, religion, caste, creed, colour, sex, science, technology and even magic. And all that was achieved out of this is classification, bifurcation, economic and social disparities, wherein one becomes the master of the other. One dependent on the other. Without realizing the one can truly be king of none but oneself.

As humans try to figure out on how to fix the chaos, humanity leaves him, he loses his honesty, his self respect and conscience. He is forced to live in constant state of greed, manipulation and is hungry for power.

As half the world has the luxury of stepping into malls and purchasing things of material and intrinsic value the other half starves to death. Where one country uses food grains to use as land fills another has malnourished children. And we all know that malnutrition leads to weak immune systems, which leads death and worse disease.

Year after year we have seen new viruses among us viz SARS, Bird Flu, H1N1, etc , weird weather patters not only the storm of the decade but a string of storms of the decade like Katrina that hit New Orleans and Cyclone Nargis, which killed tens of thousands of people when it struck Burma (Myanmar) in May, was more devastating, but the title of “strongest storm of 2008” goes to Super Typhoon Jangmi, with a 50-kilometer-wide eye, a Category 4 typhoon, and torrential rains led to floods and landslides. With maximum sustained winds of 260 kilometers per hour (162 mph), Jangmi was not only the strongest storm in any ocean basin in 2008, it was also the only storm to reach Category 5 strength anywhere in the world that year.

Other than natural disasters we also have man made disasters, from the French revolution to world wars. Man's greatest achievements have always been in finding easier ways to do things. But now we must choose between the Easy thing to do and the Right thing to do. Now we must make a stand for all those who are innocent and yet face horrific ends.

War is the symptom of man's failure as a thinking animal.

War not only refers to those fought on the battlefields with sword, daggers and bullets, but also those that we fight in day to day lives individually.

These are those for whom passing even a day is a war in itself.
There are senior parents whose children insult and hit them for reasons unknown, there are parents/senior citizens who indulge in acts of monstrous proportions with children who should be cared for, orphans are left out on the streets, female infanticide, deprivation of children to educate themselves till the age of 14 and people who are falsely accused of crimes they have not committed wherein Laws made to protect are misused to extort money viz IPC 498A, Domestic Violence Act 2005, etc.

As per the Indian Constitution, Every citizen of India has the fundamental right to a dignified life.

Article 21 of the Indian Constitution is read thus :-
"No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure by law."

And yet even as you read this there is some violation of the human rights going on.

This blog is dedicated to all those Young and old, rich and poor, good and bad to see for yourselves the atrocities committed by humans towards humans, both domestic and foreign.

My only hope is that we learn from our mistakes before its too late.
That we may be blessed in our cause of "The Pursuit of Happiness."

Thanking you with best regards for reading,
Danish.
